The World Affairs Council of Monterey Bay (WACMB) is a nonprofit, non-partisan membership organization focused on the international aspects of a broad range of political, economic, military, and social issues.  WACMB is a member of the World Affairs Councils of America, and is supported by a number of local educational institutions and organizations.  We are a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization (EIN 77-0301206).  Contributions are tax deductible as permitted by law.

WACMB offers a monthly luncheon meeting with a talk by a prominent speaker.  Adequate time is left for members of the audience to ask questions of the speaker.  Attendance is open to members, non-members, and guests.  In addition to the lunch meetings, monthly discussions groups are held throughout the year on a variety of international topics.  The Council also conducts each spring an eight-week discussion series based on the Foreign Policy Association’s publication, Great Decisions.

Further information about WACMB’s background and activities is available on this website.  The web page on upcoming events lists our current activities and how one may register for them.  More detailed information is available from our monthly newsletter, The Passport, which can be obtained by going to the Newsletter page.

We encourage persons interested in international affairs to join and participate in the activities of the World Affairs Council of Monterey Bay.  The benefits of membership are described on a web page.

We can be contacted through telephone, fax, and email.
